Theatre Council

Theatre Council is a fun, exciting experience that is open to all theatre and non-theatre students. Participants will develop new skills, meet their peers, and find a greater purpose and passion in theatre.

Who Can Join Theatre Council?

The Theatre Council is open to all students, regardless of major.

Why do you join Theatre Council?

By joining Theatre Council, students have the unique opportunity to meet outside of the classroom and fine-tune new skills. By joining Theatre Council, you will be able to:

  • Learn new skills and techniques through specialized instruction
  • Present your ideas for programs and theatre activities
  • Advocate change within the theatre program
  • Mediate communication between theatre students and faculty
  • Meet new friends at socials and weekly meetings
  • Feel like you're making a difference
  • Apply the techniques that you learn in class
  • Teach others in workshop settings
  • Experience various facets of theatre and make decisions on your future based on that experience.
  • Learn in a flexible, unconventional setting
  • Participate in service projects
  • Attend workshops and forums
  • Plan and participate in opening night soirees, play readings, student productions, and other theatre activities.

How Do I Join Theatre Council?

All Theatre Council activities are open to anyone! To become a member, simply start attending the activities regularly throughout each semester.

When Does Theatre Council Meet?

Although Theatre Council holds many activities and socials throughout a semester, weekly meetings are held on Thursday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Snow building room #105.
