Shared Responsibility is Encouraging Others
I am my brother’s keeper.
Look out for your roommates if they need help. Sometimes all it takes is a caring friend to point out a problem and offer a kind, loving hand of help. An important part of student living is being a friend to your roommates. Take interest in your roommates' lives. Get to know more about them and what they are doing. Find out what is important to them. Always be genuine in your interest and respectful.
If you feel that your roommate needs help, gather with other roommates in sharing the responsibility to help a roommate in trouble. Get appropriate help, if needed.
If you have a roommate that needs special help, such as mental health concerns, contact your bishop or the Wellness Center.
