With affordable, competitive pricing, this program focuses on working with children (ages 3-16) at their current swimming level and building on that. Each instructor will have no more than 4 students in their class to ensure everyone gets the help they need.

Lifeguard Certified Instructors
Every instructor is lifeguard certified and regularly trained through the Red Cross. The certification covers deep water rescue, CPR, AED, and first aid.
Swimming Level Overview
Swimming level will be determined by the student's parents during registration. Once classes begin and it is found that the student is not in the correct level, they will be put into the correct level after the first class and will remain there for the remainder of the session.
Level 1 Swimmer Classification
- Completely unable to swim with or without assistance
- Difficulty floating in water without assistance

Level 2 Swimmer Classification
- Able to float on front and back for limited times without assistance
- Able to swim a couple feet without assistance
- Comfortable in the water

Level 3 Swimmer Classification
- Able to float without assistance
- Able to swim front and backstroke unassisted
- Able to swim about 5 yards without assistance

Important Information
Adherence to the pool's policies is expected for all students and their parents/guardians
Arriving to class
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your class to allow time to get ready and be in the water 10 minutes before class time. If you are late to class, you can still join the class, but the information you missed will not be covered.
Parents/guardians
All parents/guardians MUST stay at the pool the entire duration of the class, no matter the age of their swimmer.
Class times
Students are required to attend the same class time for the entirety of the 2-week session. Class times are chosen by the joiner during registration.
All parking on campus is available without a permit after 4pm. The closest parking lots to the pool are the Snow and Hart Building North lots.
Frequently Asked Questions
You must pick up your swimmer within 5 mins after the 30 minute class ends. If you fail to do so, you can become subject to a $15 fine.
You are responsible for making it to your selected class times. If you miss a class there will not be a refund given. However, if a class is cancelled due to BYU-I internal affairs and is unable to be rescheduled, you will be refunded the appropriate amount.
No, you cannot choose your instructor. Instructors will be assigned based on availability and need.
Private swim lessons are not available.
No, each swimmer will be carefully watched over by the swim instructor as well as the lifeguard on duty. Parents/guardians are allowed to watch from the pool deck as long as they are not distracting from the class.
