The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints broke ground on the Teton River Idaho Temple in Rexburg on Saturday, June 1. Elder Ricardo P. Gimenéz, a General Authority Seventy and a member of the North America Central Area presidency, presided at the ceremony and gave the dedicatory prayer.

BYU-Idaho has four acapella groups who perform separately and together in concerts each semester. This is a closer look at the groups.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released its first 13 hymns that will be featured in the new hymnbook. “Hymns for Home and Church” can now be sung in sacrament meetings.

BYU-Idaho has a variety of workshops and counseling options available to students to help them face mental health challenges and the stress of being a university student.

Darby Stapelman, who is the director of Elementary Student Teaching Services, gave this Tuesday’s devotional address at BYU-Idaho. Her talk titled, “Numbered Among the Sheep,” focused on how young adults should actively work to build a covenant relationship with Heavenly Father and work to follow Jesus Christ and His teachings.

Elder Neil L. Andersen, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, spoke during a special Sunday devotional at BYU-Idaho. His talk titled, “Facing Mortality as Adults: Marriage, Children, and the Temple,” shared eternal truths about marriage, family and the blessings of temple worship.

There’s a new art exhibit opening this Saturday featuring the many works of Mary Lou Romney. Her son, Ben Romney, curated the event in hopes of showcasing her amazing work and taking visitors through her life’s journey.

Cindy Bezas is a renowned national speaker, business consultant, trainer, author and podcast host. She presented her BYU-Idaho forum session titled, “Connecting In College: The Hero’s Journey,” last Thursday at the Taylor Chapel. She discussed the power of words, resilience and the importance of networking and making authentic connections.

The Child and Family Advocacy Society works to protect children and families. With its events, the society members hope to make an impact on the lives of students and faculty members and teach them that family is something everyone can be passionate about.
