Nearly 3,000 students are graduating from BYU-Idaho today. One of the university's graduating students took an untraditional route to getting her degree.

U.S. Olympian, Chari Hawkins, will compete in Paris this August. She grew up in Rexburg and graduated from Madison High School in 2010. Her parents, Bill and Peggy Hawkins, sat down with BYU-Idaho Radio to talk about her successes and what it has taken to become an Olympian.

The Downtown Driggs Association is putting on the Plein Air Festival this week where artists can paint and compete for prizes. There are also community events each day.

This year Idaho will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Evel Knievel's attempted jump over the Snake River Canyon.

Pianist Hunter Noack will perform a pair of concerts outdoors this week in Victor and Jackson Hole. Attendees will listen with a pair of wireless headphones as they explore the landscape.

The Teton Valley Chamber Music Festival is a relatively new festival to Idaho. Going into its second year now, it has already managed to bring lovers of classical music together in the community.
