Brigham Young University-Idaho is set to unveil a new campus monument on Tuesday, December 10, immediately following the university’s weekly devotional.
The public is invited to join students, faculty, and staff at the unveiling ceremony, which will take place on campus near the roundabout just west of the Taylor Quad. The distinctive John Taylor Building is visible just above the monument, making it an ideal photo backdrop location and meeting place.
This event marks a momentous occasion for the university as it continues to focus on its mission. Those who have been involved with the development of this monument have been eager for the campus community to see it upon completion.
Andy Johnson, Director of Architecture and Construction Management Services for the university, shared his thoughts on what this monument could mean for students.
“We hope this monument will stand for many generations of students as graduating classes take their picture there,” Johnson said.
Johnson also expressed his gratitude for all those involved with the design and creation process,
“a lot of talented people on campus, as well as many contractors, have contributed to this effort.”
