Core Theme Three: Reach

BYU-Idaho’s third core theme is “Serving as many students as possible within resource constraints.”

Objective 1 – Enrollments
Meet annual enrollment goals/projections.

Key indicator for Objective 1:
• Number of students enrolled (annual headcount).
Objective 2 – Degree Progress
Increase the number of degrees awarded each year.

Key indicators for Objective 2:
• Number of degrees awarded.
• Completion rate.
• Persistence rate.
• Retention rate.
• Number of certificates completed.

Rationale for Selection of Indicators: Most of the Core Theme indicators were selected after a robust discussion in University Council on February 28, 2017. Although there have been some minor changes and modifications to those indicators following regular and ongoing discussions in President’s Council and University Council meetings, the overall set of indicators has served us well. All of the key indicators were selected from a larger list of metrics included on the Institutional Dashboard.
Compare with regional and national peers.
