In some situations, a student who disagrees with the disciplinary action imposed by the Student Honor Review Council may request a review. A Request is limited to the following reasons:
- The student believes an error occurred that affected the outcome of the matter (e.g., proven bias against the student, failure to follow established procedures, decision was not supported by information found during the investigation, etc.).
- The student believes new evidence, unknown or unavailable during the investigation, could substantially impact the original finding or sanctions. A summary and its impact must be included in the Request.
- The student believes that the disciplinary action is unfair or too severe with the Honor Code violation.
Students can request a review by filling out the Request for Review Form. This form must be submitted within five business days of receiving a Notice of Separation.
For more information, refer to the Student Honor Review Council Policy.
