Background
Jared Peterson joined the faculty if BYU-Idaho in 2022. Prior to joining the university, Jared spent 22 years at KLAS Research, a research and consulting company in the healthcare technology industry. As a co-owner, Jared helped KLAS grow from a handful of individuals working out of a basement to a globally recognized and respected organization. His most recent position was chief marketing officer and member of the executive team. Prior to KLAS Research, Jared held a position at the Utah Department of Health in the tobacco prevention department. Jared grew up in Bountiful, Utah. He attended Ricks College and received an associated degree in Health Science. Between two years at Ricks College, he served a mission to the Osorno Chile mission. Upon returning from his mission, he met and married Tasha Barrus. Jared then attended BYU-Provo where he received a degree in Community Health. In 2015, Jared received an MBA from Utah Valley University. Jared and Tasha are blessed with 8 children and excited to welcome daughters-in-law and many grandchildren to the growing family.
