Shaping the Future of Learning
At BYU-Idaho, we are strategically integrating Artificial Intelligence to enhance academic excellence and prepare our students for an evolving world. Our focus is on three core priorities that empower both students and faculty in the age of AI.
Advance Knowledge & Enhance Learning
Build AI literacy to strengthen learning, teaching, and working across campus.
Develop Workforce Readiness
Prepare graduates to succeed with practical AI skills needed for the future of work.
Facilitate Student Support & Advising
Expand personalized support through AI-powered guidance and resources.

Using AI responsibly starts with understanding how your data is handled. These resources cover BYU-Idaho's data classification standards, privacy guidelines, and copyright considerations for AI-generated content.
Most AI ideas start with you — and that's by design. Create inside approved AI tools. When your solution grows, IT partners with you to take it further.
AI Across Campus
July 16, 2026 10:28 AM
Artificial intelligence is changing the workplace, but at BYU-Idaho, students are learning that their greatest advantage isn’t AI. It’s knowing how to use it well. As employers increasingly integrate AI into the workplace, BYU-Idaho’s Computer Science and Engineering Department is helping students build strong technical foundations while learning to use AI as a powerful tool rather than a replacement for human skill.
Prophetic Guidance for the Age of AI
As a CES institution, BYU-Idaho seeks not only to provide practical guidance on the responsible use of AI tools but also to anchor that guidance in prophetic counsel.
