Transfer Evaluation

Registration Tips

The Transfer Evaluation Department encourages you to submit your official transcripts and accept your offer to attend BYU–Idaho as soon as possible. This helps you be able to accurately determine which classes to register for.

If you need to register for classes but your transcripts have not yet been processed, we recommend that you do the following:

  1. Utilize your Degree Audit: This tool shows you which classes you need to take based off of your selected program of study
  2. Utilize the foundations requirements page to identify foundations courses you will need to take, as well as which foundations courses are likely already met.
  3. Utilize the Course Transfer Tool: While you are waiting for your credits to be officially evaluated, this tool allows you to look up specific transfer courses you have taken and view how these courses should transfer over to BYU–Idaho. This process can help prevent registration for courses that should already be met once your transcripts are officially evaluated.
  4. Contact your Academic Discovery Center: Each student has an advisor assigned to them. Among other things, your advisor can help you in planning which classes to register for.
