Performance Groups

BYU-Idaho supports several performing arts groups that offer a variety of dance, instrumental, and vocal performances.
Comprised of the finest singer musicians on campus, Collegiate Singers performs a wide variety of challenging choral music that delights and inspires audiences.
From inventive contemporary to classic elegance, Dance Alliance lights up the stage with extensive costuming and dynamic movement. This dance ensemble is BYU-Idaho's elite performance dance company.
In 1993, the university began a program of biennial commissions from LDS composers who create religious oratorios with texts drawn from scripture. The tradition continues today as the Sacred Music Series contributes to its growing body of new musical works.
The BYU-Idaho Chamber Orchestra is the premier orchestra on campus, comprised of students with an extensive background in music who adhere to ambitious rehearsal and performance schedule.
Two talented groups, Sound Alliance and Vocal Union, combine to create advanced jazz instrumental and vocal performances. They entertain audiences of all ages with their tight harmonies and complex rhythms.
The finest woodwind, brass, and percussion players on campus come together to form Symphony Band. They are a distinctive group of instrumentalists who perform literature from a variety of musical periods and styles.
