Love is Christlike Discipleship

Love is Christlike Discipleship

Love is the beginning, the middle, and the end of the pathway of discipleship.

Love binds us to the Lord and holds relationships together. Joseph Smith taught that love is like "welding iron to iron; it unites the human family with its happy influence."

Loving others is a core part of becoming a true disciple of Jesus Christ. You will have opportunities every day to show the Lord you love Him by the way you love others.

You can best love God by loving yourself and expressing gratitude for who you are. When we love ourselves and love the Lord, we naturally love others and are more patient with them. Jesus defined that love when He said, "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another" (John 13:25).
