Early Riser

Early Riser

Schedules vary in an apartment. Be the roommate who thinks of others.

Your schedule will likely be different from that of your roommates. A vital skill to learn as a roommate is how to respect others' schedules while keeping your own.

As you watch this video, consider ways the early riser could be more considerate of his roommates who might need to sleep. How might this episode apply to other situations throughout the day?

When it comes to schedules, communication is key. Talk about what your schedule looks like. What classes will you be taking and what time are they at? When will everyone need to get ready for the day? When will roommates be at home? How will all roommates accommodate study habits, social activities, and other daily events?

As you communicate with each other, be considerate of what others' needs are and look for ways to make life a bit better for them.
