From CES Institutes of Religion and Church Schools
Religion credit earned at Church Education System (CES) Institutes of Religion and Church schools (BYU, BYU-Hawaii, BYU-Pathway Worldwide, Ensign College) will transfer to BYU-Idaho as an equivalent religion course or elective credit. This only applies if the course is taken for “Church University” or “BYU” credit and such credit is noted on an official Institute or university transcript.
Qualifying religion credits will fulfill both the BYU-Idaho content and resident religion requirement. This policy is primarily designed to benefit BYU-Idaho students who are participating in the online degree programs. Students who are attending BYU-Idaho on-campus are strongly encouraged to register for religion courses offered through BYU-Idaho.

From BYU Jerusalem Center
BYU-Idaho students are lucky enough to be eligible to apply and, if accepted, attend the BYU Jerusalem Center. Despite BYU’s sponsorship of BYU-Idaho in this program, all applications must go through BYU. All information regarding the center can be found on the BYU Jerusalem Center website.
All courses taken at BYU Jerusalem Center during a student’s BYU-Idaho experience will transfer to BYU-Idaho and calculate into the student’s BYU-Idaho GPA. These courses can fulfill BYU-Idaho’s general religion credit requirements.
BYU Jerusalem Center credits earned prior to a student’s enrollment at BYU-Idaho can be used to fulfill religion course content only, not the BYU-Idaho residency requirement.

From Other Universities
Religion credits earned at another university outside of the Church Education System will not be accepted toward fulfilling the BYU-Idaho religion requirements. They may transfer as elective credits. View the Transfer Evaluation page for more information.
