With a new FAFSA form, families can apply faster, and more students will be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant.

Doug Sorensen is the Maintenance Services manager at BYU-Idaho. He delivered the BYU-Idaho devotional address on October 31, 2023. In his talk titled, “If Thou Endure It Well,” Sorensen talked about the formative power of trials in life and how trials bring blessings into life, even if we don’t recognize them at first.

Local musicians will begin rehearsing in November for a December production of Handel’s enduring oratorio, “Messiah.” The performance will be Sunday, Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rexburg Tabernacle Civic Center. Heidi Pyper, the choir director, is preparing for the concert.

Rexburg Mayor Jerry Merrill is running for a third term as mayor. He has served as the mayor of Rexburg since 2016. In an interview with BYU-Idaho Radio, Merrill discussed why he is running for another term, what he is most proud of as mayor and what he will focus on if he is reelected. Vanessa Perez-Perez is a BYU-Idaho student. She talked with BYU-Idaho Radio about the story of her conversion to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, why she chose to attend BYU-Idaho and how she has enjoyed her time at the university.

The Spori Art Gallery has a new exhibit open that features the art of 16^th Century to 20^th Century artists who depicted scenes from the Bible and the life of Jesus Christ. The art is newly acquired by BYU-Idaho.

BYU-Idaho's Campus Life Events is putting on the Battle of the Dance next week. Battle of the Dance is a competition that celebrates the many cultures that affect dance in its purest form.
