In the Public Policy and Administration degree, students prepare to influence democracy at the local, state, national, and international levels. Not only will students learn and understand the policy-making process, bureaucracy, and budgeting, but they will also learn to plan, evaluate, and implement public programs through the chosen emphasis.

A Public Policy and Administration degree prepares students to effectively influence democracy at the local, state, national, and international levels. Students will understand policy-making processes, bureaucracy, budgeting, ethical decision-making, and communication skills to become leaders in their field. This major can lead to careers in civil services, education, administration, executive positions, foreign service offices, etc.

The Public Policy emphasis prepares students to create, evaluate, and implement public policy. This includes studying policy processes, understanding how to enact policies through research and analysis, and a working knowledge of the policy arena.
