Bio
Before joining the faculty at BYU-Idaho Brother Briggs was a software engineer and technical leader in a wide range of industries. After graduation, he briefly worked at a small start-up in Maryland, then worked in a variety of industries for more than 20 years including health insurance, government contracting and e-commerce. He was most recently a director of software development at Overstock.com, overseeing their expansion efforts in government and international sales. His specialties are full-stack development, system design and architecture as well as technical leadership and team management. He also published an interactive story app for young children in 2014. Brother Briggs and his wife have eight children, including four sons and four daughters.
