Graduation candidates who have met all graduation requirements will have their degree posted to their official transcript within 10 business days* after final grades for the semester are posted.
Below are steps to confirm the status of a graduation application:
- Log into my.byui.edu
- Select the “student” tab
- On the menu located on the left side of the screen select “graduation application”
- Scroll to the bottom of the page to view the application processing status. The date the degree earned was posted will be included with the “Degree Posted” status.
Diplomas will be printed and mailed 6-8 weeks after final grades post.
Honors will be posted to qualifying recipients’ official transcripts within 6-8 weeks after final grades post. Those awarded Honors will be notified in an email sent to their BYU-Idaho student email account. For those interested in how Honors are calculated please visit the University catalog
Official transcripts can be requested for personal use or to be sent to a 3 rd party. Prior to final grades being posted, transcript requests should be marked “hold until degree is posted.” When this option is selected, the transcript will be sent the day after the degree is posted. A transcript ordered after the degree earned has posted can be sent immediately by choosing “send now” on the transcript request. * Degrees are not posted for graduation candidates with a past due or housing debt. Once the debt is resolved with Financial Services and the hold is removed by Student Financial Services, the degree will post. Students with an Honor hold will not be reviewed for degree completion until the hold is resolved and the student's ecclesiastical endorsement is current.
