Who Is My Advisor?

1. Advisor at Academic Advising

Advising can assist you with general academic questions, class & graduation planning, course sequencing, graduate school and career advising, academic holds/restrictions, and other academic-related issues and questions.

I know my major. Visit or contact your college-specific advisors. You can self-schedule an appoinment with an advisor in I-Plan

I don't know my major. Visit the Academic Advising's main office in Chapman 101, email advising@byui.edu, or call 208-496-9800.

2. Faculty Mentors

In addition to an advisor, every student is assigned a faculty mentor. The faculty mentor is a member of your college and major, and can assist you in reaching your academic and career goals. You can visit with your faculty mentor for advice on succeeding in your major, preparing to enter the workforce, completing internships, and applying to and choosing graduate schools.

To find your Faculty Mentor, log on to your My BYUI account, they will be listed in the Academic Summary section.
