Why the Change to Church Account

BYU-Idaho sign-in will switch to Church Account to align with other CES schools and utilize the state-of-the-art account management system used by the Church.

Alignment with CES

BYU-Idaho is part of a multi-year Church Education System effort to migrate all CES schools to the Church account management system. This will reduce the number of accounts required at the schools, simplify the application and onboarding experience for students, and ease transition when students transfer across CES schools.

Okta and the Church

BYU-Idaho's sponsorship with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, allows the university to utilize Okta, a secure identity cloud system that connects devices, logins, and apps into a unified digital fabric.

Utilizing Okta will upgrade BYU-Idaho’s IT infrastructure to a state-of-the art security system and better protect the university and you from malicious hackers and data leaks.
