Spirit Cup

Spirit Week torch lighting - Oct 2022

What is the Spirit Cup?

This is a great opportunity to join in some friendly competition between colleges, departments, housing complexes, and societies! There are a variety of events and ways to get involved, so everyone can participate.

Spirit Cup Leagues

The Spirit Cup is divided into four leagues which are:
Non-Academic Departments
Colleges
Academic Societies
Housing Complexes

Participation Base on Leagues

Chariot Race - Oct. 2019
Spring Fest - May 2024

Non-Academic Departments

This is for campus offices that aren't classrooms (like the Gym, HR, or Dining Services).

  • Full-Time Staff: Just scan the regular QR code at events.
  • Student Workers: You have a separate QR code to scan. Your points automatically help your department.
  • Volunteers: If you help run an event, there is a special section for you to get credit.

Colleges

If you work or study in a specific major (like Science, Art, or Business), your points go to your College.

  • The Rule: Each College can only have one entry for "Sponsor Find Blue" and "Sponsor Blue Box." You'll need to coordinate with others in your College!

Academic Societies

This is for student clubs and professional societies.

  • The Parade: For the Torch Light Parade, don't go it alone! It’s best to team up with your College to make one big float or walking group instead of many small ones.

Housing Complexes

This is for student apartment buildings and complexes.

  • Managers: If your complex wins, the managers get extra prizes!
  • One Limit: Housing groups are not allowed to do "Headquarters Boothing." Everything else is fair game.

How do I get points? Just show up to events, have fun, and scan the QR codes provided! Every scan helps your team move up the leaderboard.

How You Earn Points

There are two ways to get points for your team. See how your team is doing on the Spirit Cup Leaderboard
