Making Connections in College: The Hero's Journey

Biography

Cindy Bezas is a national speaker, business consultant, and trainer. After multiple concussions and traumatic brain injuries, she became an internationally ranked podcast host, paid blogger, and certified Laughter Yoga Leader in an effort to bring hope and light to others seeking resilience and triumph. Her master’s from the University of Idaho in Organizational Learning and Leadership led her to research showing the power of words and narrative therapy to overcome trauma, PTSD, and setbacks. Her bachelor’s from Brigham Young University focused on training programs and motivational speaking. That experience led Cindy to obtain additional certifications in oral and written storytelling.

As a musician, Cindy has performed in the United States, on television, and in Europe. She has been published in fiction and non-fiction, has seen five of her stage productions produced, and has published hymns arranged for the ukulele.

Cindy currently serves as an online adjunct faculty member teaching classes in communication and as an Assistant Instructor Mentor for Brigham Young University-Idaho. She is the host of the Able Mama Laughter and Love channel on YouTube launching later this spring. She and her husband, Michael, are the grateful parents of four children, one of which moved on to heaven in 1994, plus three adorable grandchildren.
