The Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce has represented the businesses in Rexburg for years and on April 24 it will celebrate the businesses and people who have made a positive impact on the community in the Farmer Merchant’s Banquet.

At the event there will be silent and live auctions to help the chamber in its goals of supporting local businesses.

“So there's everything, all sorts of things like Idaho Mattress. They just donated, it's a $300 weighted blanket. So that's really nice. There's a grill. Altura has donated a Blackstone grill that we will be auctioning off. I haven't seen the final list. We're in the middle of compiling it, but a lot of really fun, good stuff,” said Diane Bruce, the president of the Chamber of Commerce.

With an auction, there will also be an awards ceremony to celebrate the people and organizations who make a good community out of Rexburg. According to Bruce, there are a number of awards like Business Person of the Year, Woman in Business and Leadership, Medical Professional of the Year, Service Provider of the Year, Farmer of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award, among others.

“Our theme this year on that note is growing together. We all know that Rexburg is growing and businesses, farmers, all of us, and we want to grow together and strengthen each other,” Bruce said.
