On today’s episode of The Yarn Podcast, professional storyteller Mo Reynolds shares a Grimm Fairytale about how keeping a promise is one of the more important things one must do in their life.
“Chaimel walked into his father's bedroom and found him sobbing into his pillow. ‘Papa, what is wrong?’ When his father explained about his meeting in the woods, the bargain with) the little man, and that Chaimel was the thing that had rubbed his leg that day, this was the day that the little man would expect payment. And Chaimel simply shrugged. He smiled. ‘Do not worry, Papa. I have a plan.’”
Reynolds also shares how this can relate to the gospel of Jesus Christ and how all of God’s promises are kept and how through the Lord, we can keep these promises too.
“God has an excellent track record of keeping His promises to me. He loves me. He loves you. He believes in us. Everything He does is to bring us home. We don't keep our promises to Him to earn His love. His love for us simply exists. We keep our promises so that we can get better at feeling His love,” Reynolds said.
