Thayne in Wyoming’s Star Valley has opened a new playroom in its community center and it’s currently open to people with children ages 5 and under. This is to help parents of younger children to rest and allow the children some playtime and to open their minds to new environments, especially in the long winters.
“Some place that they could go for those kids to have something active to do,” said Rebecca Hutchenson, the Thayne Town Clerk. “And maybe for the guardians to get together as well so they can socialize, just something for them to have.”
According to Hutchenson, the Community Center has soft play equipment for young children. Toys include cars and a tree or logs that kids can crawl under and soft animals to climb on, toys to keep children entertained while parents keep a close eye on them.
The play area is open Monday – Friday 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and can be reserved. If you want more information or to book the room, call Town Hall at (307) 883-2668.
