The Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce wants to get local people and students to get to know local restaurants, so it’s hosting a Restaurant Rush from Feb. 28 through March 9.

Participating restaurants will have special deals and fun events so people can learn more about them and hopefully find some great food.

Becka Stucki, with the chamber, says they have a good variety of restaurants from new restaurants like Masal Indian Cuisine and Kingdom of Pho to dessert shops like Mrs. Powell’s and Chocolate Plunge.

“So, there's lots of fun variety,” Stucki said.

According to Stucki, there are a total of 25 restaurants participating. At the restaurants, you will be given a bingo sheet that has promotional offers from these companies and for each bingo or a full blackout, you’ll be put into a drawing for a gift card from one of these participating restaurants.

“I think we all know that winter months are kind of hard for businesses, especially restaurants, because it's after Christmas, everyone's already spent a lot of money, or you've got your New Year’s resolutions. And so, we just want to help these local restaurants and drive some business in these slow winter months. And also, sometimes winter, as for us as participants, you don't always want to cook every night,” Stucki said.
