For Paige Anne of Idaho Falls, music has always been a passion, one that helped her secure a spot on American Idol in 2023. Now, she has appeared in a music video for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

“When I recorded it coming straight off of Idol, while I was on Idol, my testimony, it grew so much because I was just put through the wringer. Everything went wrong and I was like, there was only one person I could turn to. I was trapped in my room for eight days while the biggest week of my life was going on,” Paige Anne said.

She was trapped in her room because she had COVID-19. While she was initially voted off of American Idol, she was later brought back.

This video, “Fear Not” on the Strive to Be YouTube channel is on the 2025 Youth Album for the Church. Paige Anne says she recorded the song in October 2023. She says the experience helped her grow her testimony.

“It just showed me that like God listens to us. I mean, so after that, when I got the opportunity to record for the church, I remember listening to ‘Fear Not Me’ and like, holy crap, this is like, this speaks to me because it's like, I just need to put it in God's hands. Fear not. I mean, fear not, doubt not, God will always be on your side,” Paige Anne said.
