Citizen’s Community Bank for the past five years has organized a document shredding day to help the communities around them shred and destroy documents of a sensitive nature. This year, it’s happening in locations all over eastern Idaho on April 25.

“We've just received a lot of great feedback from the community. So, we thought we would just continue to offer the service as long as we can,” said Adriana Appiah, the marketing manager at Citizens Community Bank.

Appiah says people can simply drive up to one of the locations and hand over the shredded paper and give it over to the company known as Western Records for proper destruction. This event happens following tax season each year since the target papers for destruction are usually older tax documents and are no longer needed.

“Why not take advantage and start your spring cleaning and get something checked off your list as far as things that you need to get done. And again, it's free and sometimes it can be a little challenging to find a method of how to get rid of sensitive documents. We have it all set up to where you can come, and we make it as easy as possible,” Appiah said.

The free event will happen on April 25 at four Citizen’s Community Bank locations. The Arthur Ave. location in Pocatello and the 2nd East location in Rexburg will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The location Hitt Rd. location in Ammon and the Quinn Rd. location in Chubbuck will happen from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
