God wants his children to trust Him and He will lead them to great things. That’s the message Sister Kristin M. Yee shared with students and employees at BYU-Idaho during the devotional Tuesday.
Sister Yee is the second counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She works for the Church as a special projects manager in Publishing Services. Before she worked for the Church, she worked at Disney Interactive. In her free time, she also paints. In her devotional address, she shared a story about how she allowed God to use her as a means of spreading the gospel.
“And I remember as I was seeking to create something like this and be inspired to do this, I remember praying for His Spirit because I could not create something like that without His Spirit,” she said in an interview with BYU-Idaho Radio. “It would have to have His Spirit if it was going to be meaningful.”
As she shared her devotional message, she said it requires faith to grow in Christ and that can take some work.
“What would you do if you had more faith? Think about it. Write about it. Then receive more faith by doing something that requires more faith,” Sister Yee said in her devotional talk. “Think about this, brothers and sisters. Our faith increases every time we increase our faith in Him. That is what learning by faith means.”
