REXBURG, Idaho- BYU-Idaho starts the basketball season strong with a Slam Dunk competition this weekend.

On Friday, at the Hart Building's Auditorium, the Campus Recreation Committee will host this competition for all students.

The night includes the slam dunk contest as well as a 3-point contest.

Students can win prizes and have a lot of fun in this annual event.

"My favorite part of the contest is the dunk competition itself," said Sean Laughlin, a basketball player and the organizer of the event. "There is some pretty impressive dunks some of these guys can do so I really enjoy that part of it."
