Spikeball and cornhole are favorite lawn games and this weekend the Campus Recreation Department at BYU-Idaho will host a tournament for the two games.
“Everyone is going to get a chance to go to the elimination stage,” said Neal Patching, a student sports coordinator in the Campus Recreation Department. “So even if you lose every game in group play, you'll still have a chance to compete for the trophy. And if you have the least amount of points, you'll play the team with the most amount of points. If you have the second least amount of points, you'll play the team with the second most amount of points and so on and so forth.”
According to Patching, if you get 21 points from both games or as many points as possible in the 20 minutes, you’ll move up in the tournament. Still, everyone gets the chance to win even if they don’t score many points.
“Even if you can't play or you don't want to and you just want to come up and see what's going on, absolutely, myself and my coworkers, we're all there to have a good time as well. You can chat with some of us. I think we're all great people,” Patching said.
The event is this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the BYU-Idaho Center Courts. If you want more information or to register, please click here.
