BYU-Idaho students are getting to know seniors in the community through a service activity called Adopt-A-Grandparent. The event happens every Sunday from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m. where people are picked up at the nearest roundabout to the Manwaring Center and the BYU-Idaho Center.
"I absolutely love going to adopt a grandparent," said Jada Clark, a member of BYU-Idaho's I-Serve. "Some of my favorite things are being able to see the smiles on their faces. They always love having BYU-Idaho students come visit them. There are certain residents who are really familiar with the students and have gotten to know them by name. They just really emphasize how appreciative they are that students come visit them," Sister Clark said.
