BYU-Idaho's robust activities program will continue next semester with the Jiu Jitsu activity.

Jiu jitsu is an martial art that originated from Brazil. It often incorporates take-downs and grappling moves. It can be a lot of fun and it's also used for self defense as well.

"I've practiced Jiu Jitsu for about seven years now and a lot of people walk in thinking that size and muscle matter," said Youbin Park, the main student instructor and the leader of the activity. "I mean it does matter but for being a practitioner for about seven years, I'm able to submit and control people that are more masculine looking then I am."

The activity starts up on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 - 8 both in the morning and evening at the Hart Building room 187.
