Christmas is often know as the most wonderful time of the year. But for college students, it can be marred by exams and stressful shopping sessions.
Here at BYU-Idaho, the University Store and Student Activities collaborated together and formed one of the most festive events this year called A Campus Christmas.
This event includes University Store specials, treats, and the lighting of the main campus Christmas Tree in the Manwaring Center beginning Nov. 16.
One of the main organizers of the activity is Sister Jenny Anderson. She works for the University Store as a communication leader and one of the assemblers at this event. She'll be celebrating with the rest of the student body as well.
"We pretty much fill the MC (Manwaring Center) with things to do and things to see in regards to the holidays, all that entire day," Anderson says.
These events include free donuts and cider in the Taylor Building and 20% off everything in the store Thursday.
At the MC, students and patrons can enjoy Christmas Tree Lane which is a showcase of Christmas Trees decorated by BYU-Idaho's faculty members for their respective departments. The lighting of the main campus Christmas tree starts at 6:30 PM Thursday.
