Blackfoot High School is constructing a new Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Student Center, with Assistant Superintendent Ryan Wilson overseeing the project. The idea originated in 2021 when plans for a new elementary school led to repurposing the old building into the Blackfoot Technical Education Center (BTEH). The center will offer various courses, including machining, welding, auto mechanics, healthcare, broadcasting and hospitality, in collaboration with local businesses and the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes. Although construction is ongoing, the facility aims to provide students with career exploration opportunities and a head start in their chosen fields.

Josh Figueira has prepared for years to give a talk at BYU-Idaho's devotional. While commuting to work at BYU-Idaho, he would listen to the devotional archives and write down impressions from the Holy Spirit. Over seven years, he took 59 pages of notes, which is where he went for inspiration when he was asked to give a devotional talk.

Growth continues in Rexburg, Sugar City and Madison County for 2025. The leaders of the two cities, the county, BYU-Idaho and Madison School District #321 spoke during the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s State of the Cities and County Breakfast held at BYU-Idaho.

Madison County has its State of the Cities and County addresses every year and for the second year in a row the breakfast will be held in the Taylor Building at BYU-Idaho. The breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m.

“Vanishing Points by Michael Sherwin” is a new exhibit in the Spori Art Gallery. The exhibit displays Sherwin’s photography. The pictures capture landscapes important to the spiritual and cultural identity of indigenous people in Ohio, West Virginia and the western United States.

Music Department faculty members Elizabeth Crawford and Dr. Nadine Luke are performing various music styles on the bassoon and flute in their upcoming performance.

The Armchair Traveler Challenge is a book reading challenge at the Madison Library District. It encourages readers to read books that fit into different challenges throughout the year.

DTR Rexburg is a new show where singles get to know each other while wearing blindfolds, all in front of a live audience.

BYU-Idaho student Ethan Julander will have a showing of his new documentary “Legacy” for the community to watch.
