It’s springtime and usually that means our national parks – Yellowstone and Grand Teton – are opening up to the public. With the COVID-19 coronavirus, that’s not happening right now.

With schools closing all over Idaho, students and teachers have had to adjust to online learning and instruction. But student-athletes now must watch their seasons come to a disappointing end, an end that hits seniors harder than others.

The coronavirus has taken a toll on many aspects of life. Unfortunately, many of them have contributed to the heavy toll our global and local markets have sustained.

Being quarantined can be a bit frustrating because there are so many fun activities you can’t do anymore. There are a lot of friends and extended family you probably haven’t seen in a while, but maybe having so much time inside our homes is not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe you can take this opportunity to do that project you keep putting off, maybe it’s a great time to spend time with your family?

The coronavirus pandemic has made a remarkable impact on grocery stores and chain restaurants. In some stores, even here in Rexburg, many supplies are sometimes harder to find than a needle in a haystack. The immense increase in demand for many items like toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and certain foods have left consumers unsatisfied and distributors scrambling to meet that demand.

If living as an American family abroad isn’t enough of a unique experience, consider the lives of Eric and Darien Laird. They are currently living in Switzerland, where Eric works for Google, with their three children. Darien is now six days overdue with their fourth baby. They’re also having to deal with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
