Park’s Place Smokehouse will host a fundraising event Friday at the Wolfe It Down Food Court to support victims of the Texas flood.

The Idaho Falls Area Humanitarian Center is asking for donations of supplies to help fellow nonprofits in eastern Idaho.

Local independent filmmaker Connor McFarlane is preparing to release his latest project, a crime-comedy action film titled “Thrifters.”

Moving to Idaho led Ben Trosper not only to a new home, but to a new faith. Moving to Idaho from Michigan for a new job introduced Trosper to new neighbors and friends who shared their faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Filmmaker Jared Hess believes being authentic and creating things he genuinely enjoys will form everyday truths that resonate with audiences.

“I always feel that if you’re doing anything authentic, inevitably there’s going to be some truth to it,” Hess said. “And that truth is going to be what lasts and connects with people.”
