REXBURG—Every summer, the Idaho Falls Arts Council hosts its River Concert Series. This music series showcases local talent from a variety of genres every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Toyota Greenbelt Stage near Memorial Dr. between D and E Streets.

“[The River Concert Series] has a really kind of relaxed, just kind of kick off the week and get a little bit of a break down on the river kind of feel to it,” Executive Director Gray Augustus said. “So, we get a good crowd, we usually will have between about 400 to 600 people that come out with their lawn chairs and enjoy some time along the Greenbelt.”

The River Concert Series is a free public annual tradition that brings together local bands to show off their talent with the community. This summer fun is sponsored by Teton Toyota as well as the Roaring Youth Jam arts festival held in August.

The concerts feature: Teton Skye, 40 Somethin’ Band, East Idaho Community Band, 22nd Street Jazz, Jazz House Big Band, Pre Dawn Flight, Mountain Strings Bluegrass, Abstract Class, Lil’ Red, High Desert Heathens, Olivia Rose and Mike Banks Jazz Quartet.

“I think having a nice, relaxing environment to take in some high-quality music gives that, you know, just kind of decompression time period at the first of the week,” Augustus said.

The 2026 season features many crowd favorites as well as some new talent. The council kicked off its season with Teton Skye, a Celtic band.

Throughout the summer the public can expect music from genres such as classic rock, jazz, bluegrass, big band and country.

“We're super excited this year because we are featuring some kind of country rock bands,” Augustus said.

Lately, the concert scene has been taking off in Idaho Falls, Augustus said. Outside of the River Concert Series, the public can attend Alive After Five held by the Civitan Club on Wednesdays at 5 p.m. on the Greenbelt. The United Way concert series will start next Thursday.

The final concert of the River Concert Series will be Aug. 25 with the Mike Banks Jazz Quartet. The Idaho Falls Arts Council holds different art events throughout the year in the Colonial Theater, Willard Arts Center and the ARTitorium on Broadway. In August at the Colonial Theater, they will host Taylorville, a Taylor Swift tribute band.

“Our mission really delves into the idea that we want to enhance the quality of life through art in our area,” Augustus said.

The Idaho Falls Arts Council’s 2026-2027 season, will feature 19 shows of diverse arts. Some upcoming shows include Gravity, actors who have performed in “Wicked,” Charles Yang a classically renowned violinist, and even some dance shows.
