Humor Code

Humor Code

Humor Code is a sketch comedy club at BYU-Idaho that was created in 2012 by BYU-Idaho alumni Nick Kanios, who was studying at the time, after he realized there was not a sketch comedy club on campus.

Nick and a few of his friends were motivated to get the club started and put flyers all over campus. They would go to different classes to tell students about the new project and auditions. Eight years later, the club is still running and every semester they do performances.

Emily Colton has been a member of Humor Code for five semester and this is her first time being the manager. She said she is a little nervous and excited to be in Humor Code Semester.

“Last semester we did our very first ever parody show which if you saw it was a parody of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ featuring songs of The Greatest Showman and it went over really,” she said. “Our goal this semester is to even go bigger with the parody show to create something that will feature more music more actors doing different things hopefully a little of a longer show as well”
