Biography
Heidi Grew up traveling the world with her family while her dad was in the U.S. Army. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in North Carolina. After her mission she earned a Bachelor's degree from Boise State University in mechanical engineering. She worked as an engineer at Autoliv while her husband finished his master’s degree at Utah State University in Logan, UT. After he graduated, they moved to Niskayanua, NY where he worked as an engineer for the Navy. They moved to Idaho Falls a few years later to be near family. She received her master’s degree in engineering management from the University of Idaho using their distance learning program in Idaho Falls and taught math at College of Eastern Idaho in Idaho Falls. She started teaching engineering class at BYUI in 2020. Heidi has 6 children, 3 girls and 3 boys. Her hobbies include but are not limited to: sewing, cooking, crafts, reading (fiction), getting her kids to do their homework, driving her children to their various activities, traveling, and engineering projects.
