Biostatistics Introduction
The Biostatistics major gives you statistical tools for biological, medical, and public health contexts. You will learn how to apply math by designing research strategies, collecting and analyzing data, and interpreting the results of observation and experiments.
You will develop skills in the following areas:
- Statistical Theory & Application: A foundation in core statistical models applied to life sciences.
- Experimental Design: Structuring biological experiments and clinical data collection.
- Specialized Analysis: Interpreting data within specific biological sub-disciplines.
Biostatistics is divided into two distinct modules. You will focus on genetics or epidemiology. Depending on your chosen module, you will be prepared for different careers.
