The Educational Foundations program at BYU–Idaho offers students a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practices of the education profession. Rooted in the university’s commitment to faith-based learning and excellence in teaching, this associate-level pathway equips learners with core pedagogical knowledge, classroom experience, and an understanding of developmental and instructional strategies.
Through coursework in child development, educational psychology, instructional methods, and classroom dynamics, students gain the confidence and competence needed to serve as effective educational support professionals or to continue toward teacher licensure.
