Theatre Studies (A.A.)

Students pursue an associate degree for a variety of reasons, like building a portfolio or meeting other creatives. An associate degree in Theatre Studies can provide a wide variety of benefits to students who take full advantage of the program.

Unlike traditional career paths, careers in the arts can be determined by more than just educational backgrounds. Things like experience, network, talent, and interpersonal skills will more than likely override education alone. However, most people gain their experience, network, and skills in a college program.

While it is not true for everyone, many students earning an associate degree in Theatre Studies hope to transfer to another program eventually. Whether they are hoping to transfer to another degree program at BYU-Idaho or to another university entirely, students usually have questions about how to transfer their associate degree.
