Henry J. Eyring Commencement Address

Commencement - Wednesday, December 15, 2021 | 6:00 p.m. MST

Commencement is a gathering of all graduates where attendees receive counsel and recognition from the University President, a member of the Board of Trustees, or its designee, and other guests. Tickets are required. Each graduate is allotted up to four tickets for guests to attend the live commencement event. Tickets will become available beginning Monday, December 6 at 8 am.

Due to continued capacity restrictions, previous graduates who desire to participate in live graduation ceremonies are encouraged to participate in the 2022 winter or spring graduation ceremonies.

Commencement Seating

Seating opens at 5:15 p.m. and graduates and guests must be seated by 5:45 p.m. in the BYU-Idaho Center auditorium. Tickets are not required for graduates.


Flowers, leis, and other embellishments that might be considered academic regalia should not be attached to or worn with the cap and gown. Outside of Graduation ceremonies, the wearing of honor cords and other regalia are permitted for society and other graduation pictures.
