National Undergraduate Literature Conference

As the name implies, this is one of the few national conferences for undergraduates. And it's only a few hours away.  Hosted by Weber State University in Ogden, UT, the NULC gives you a chance to strengthen your résumé and start networking.

Conference Events

Meet authors such as Tim O'Brien (The Things They Carried) or Azar Nafisi (Reading Lolita in Tehran). Show off your best work-a class essay that blew your teacher away, that poem that you've worked on all year, or that brilliant short story stored on your hard drive.

At the NULC, you have the chance to meet with and learn from some of the biggest names in writing today. You will also share your own writing, giving you a chance to join the conversation with other writers and scholars.

Conference Information

Start planning now for this annual event. Submissions are accepted from November through January of each year. Check out the NULC website for more information about submission deadlines and conference schedules.

Conference Funding

Once you are accepted to the NULC, apply for funding. The English Academic Society (EAS) has scholarships that can help pay for some travel, lodging, and conference registration costs. To apply for funding, submit your conference presentation to the EAS faculty advisor within one week of your acceptance notification.
