Dixie Jamison graduated from BYU-Idaho with a bachelor's degree in registered nursing. She went on to earn a master's degree in nursing education from Western Governors University.
Dixie has worked an as infusion nurse for personal home care. She also served as a registered nurse, post anesthesia care nurse, and interventional radiology nurse for Mountain View Hospital. Dixie joined the faculty in the Department of Nursing at BYU-Idaho 2014, where she has served as an associate dean in the College of Agriculture and Life Science since 2021. She also serves as a managing director for LEAD Foundation, Inc.
