The First Presidency of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles has directed that the “General Handbook: Serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints” continues to be updated as needed.

One of the most recent updates is a new search assistant feature powered by AI (artificial intelligence). These updates have been initiated in the General Handbook located on ChurchofJesusChrist.org and the Gospel Library app.

The objective of the update is to help Church leaders and members find answers to their questions. The search assistant can analyze users’ questions and summarize potentially relevant information from the handbook. Users can then verify responses using the links provided by the assistant.

This feature is available in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. The user can access the search assistant when signed into their Church account, then by locating the button at the bottom right of the screen when viewing the “General Handbook.”
