BYU-Idaho Radio · Rexburg CAL Ranch Grand Opening with Jason Miller
CAL Ranch Stores in Rexburg is moving locations across the street from its current location. The new store will take over part of the old Walmart location, next to Harbor Freight and Albertsons. Jason Miller, the vice president of marketing at CAL Ranch Stores said the move is exciting.
“People have been driving by the store and it is no secret when you drive by that you can see the new storefront going up on there and the construction that is going on in there. It is so exciting when you see all that old rustic building that has been sitting vacant for several years now… We just went through and repainted and cleaned the place up. It is really starting to come together, and it is really exciting,” said Miller.
Miller said the move is to help customers have a better experience. He said the parking lot is better suited for customers with trailers, and the stoplight makes it easier to access.
The new store is welcoming customers with a grand opening June 24th to the 26th. Miller said they will have a daily gun giveaway, along with other free prizes.
“Anyone who enters the store, will receive a scratch card with the chance to win some of our other daily prizes we are giving away. Every scratch card is a winner, it may be a few dollars off your order, it may be a free salted nut roll, which we are kind of famous for… We are giving away some safes, giving away some grills as well. It should be a really fun event,” Miller said.
CAL Ranch in Rexburg will also be giving away free hot dogs and drinks Saturday morning from 11am to 2pm. This is a long-standing tradition at CAL Ranch grand openings. A local youth group will be manning the hot dog stand. CAL Ranch Stores purchases the supplies, and all proceeds go to the youth group.
