“Once I was Engaged” Hits Theaters this Weekend

From Maclain Nelsons “Once I was a Beehive” comes the romantic comedy “Once I was Engaged,” a new spinoff with returning characters. Moviegoers can expect a “rollercoaster of emotions” as they follow Bree Carrington, played by Nelson’s wife Clare Niederpuem, as she navigates her engagement.

In an interview with BYU-Idaho Radio, Nelson said filming movies with his spouse was an overall rewarding and fun experience, because he gets to spend so much time with her.

“It can be delicate at times but overall, it’s actually super fulfilling… the kind of collaboration that happens between us is really fun in this dynamic,” Nelson said. “In this film you see her acting talent come out... she really does a good job about carrying this film.”

Nelson said the film was based off his own engagement story, and thought he was the only one experiencing what he did, until he began talking to other people.

He said filming in Hawaii was beautiful and they were able to get so many award-worthy shots for the film. To learn more about the film, you can go online to onceiwasengaged.com
